8th Pay Commission Latest News: During the current Lok Sabha elections, central government employees have a reason to be optimistic, as several reports indicate that discussions on the implementation of the 8th Central Pay Commission are progressing favorably at the national level. Should the 8th Pay Commission be instituted, it promises a significant salary to increase for government employees.

For an extended period, central government employees’ associations have been advocating for the establishment of the 8th Pay Commission. Following these developments, it is anticipated that the new salary revision commission will be formed post the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.

“The Indian Railways Technical Supervisors’ Association has penned a letter to the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, requesting the establishment of the 8th Pay Commission to tackle a range of unresolved issues.

Subsequently, the Department of Personnel & Training (Do&PT) has passed this letter along to the Department of Expenditure within the Ministry of Finance for further consideration. According to reports, the Department of Expenditure, which is charged with the implementation of Pay Commission recommendations, is currently reviewing the requests detailed in the letter.
